About Networked Voice Mail

Overview

The MiVoice Business Networked Voice Mail feature (Networked Voice Mail) allows voice mail users to seamlessly send and receive messages between all the voice mail servers on a network. This includes (but is not limited to):

Operation

To log in a mailbox when calling from outside the network:

  1. Call the main number.

  2. Dial the hunt group number of the voice mailbox server. The call is transferred to that node's Auto Attendant.

    NOTE: This step is not required if the mailbox is on the same node as the main number.

  3. Enter the extension number associated with the mailbox.

  4. Log in as usual.

To enter a voice mailbox number when forwarding a message or programming a distribution list:

NOTE: There can be a few seconds delay after entering the PNI of a remote mailbox. Press "#" at the end of the number to skip this delay.
